Microsoft's (Nasdaq: MSFT) Surface 2 pricing on AT&T's (NYSE: T) 4G LTE network is out and the initial level seems fair.
According to Windows Phone Central, the 64-GB Surface 2 will price at $679, which will be about $130 more than the non-LTE Surface 2 with the same memory. No word on whether that price will come down with tie-ins or a new, two-year contract commitment.
This will be the first Surface tablet from Microsoft with LTE capability, marking a stronger effort by the company for broader global appeal of its hardware.
Shares of Microsoft are up 0.8 percent.
