Pre-Orders for Tesla's (TSLA) Model X Appear Strong

Tesla's (Nasdaq: TSLA) Model X is getting plenty of pre-orders ahead of the vehicles expected launch in early 2015.
The Tesla Motors Club has Production pre-orders at 9,555 worldwide, while about 1,432 pre-orders have been placed for the Signature Model X.
Of note, the standard Model X requires a $5,000 deposit, while the Signature version will be locked-in with a $40,000 deposit.
While the numbers seem impressive, the Blog cautions that those who have upgraded models will be counted and cancellations will not be counted.
Shares of Tesla are up 5.7 percent Monday.
