Potential Bounce Candidates: Theses stocks were sold off aggressively yesterday and traders will look for possible bounces in the stocks in the days ahead. Of course, they can continue lower.
CME Group, Inc. (NYSE: CME): Sank 17.6% yesterday after the DOJ said clearing by future exchanges is promoting an anti-competitive environment. Today the stock is bouncing back 5%. A number of brokers defend the stock today, calling the concerns overblown and the sell-off overdone.
NYMEX Holdings (NYSE: NMX): Like CME, NMX sank 17.6% yesterday on the same fears. CME and NMX are in preliminary merger discussions. Today the stock is bouncing back 5%.
Travelzoo Inc. (Nasdaq: TZOO): The online travel service company sank 32% yesterday after disappointing Q4 results. Today the stock is down another 1%
Double-Take Software Inc. (Nasdaq: DBTK): Fell nearly 27% yesterday following Q4 results, and providing disappointing guidance. The company said it sees Q1 EPS of $0.10-$0.11, below the consensus of $0.13, and FY08 EPS of $0.63-$0.65, below the consensus of $0.71. The stock is up 3% this AM.
NeuStar, Inc. (NYSE: NSR): Lost 25% yesterday after reporting a solid Q4, but giving a cautious outlook for 2008. Today the stock is flat.
