Electronic Arts (Nasdaq: EA) affirms news issued Thursday that Dave Roberts would be leaving his position as CEO of PopCap Games, a unit of EA.
VentureBeat said that co-founder John Vechey would run the studio by himself.
EA purchased PopCap Games back in 2011 for around $750 million. The studio is famous for offerings like Bejeweled and Plants vs. Zombies.
PopCap is also EA's largest inroads for mobile gaming, one of the key expansion areas for the company and its peers right now.
Shares of EA are flat in early trading Friday.
