Mike Novogratz of Fortress Investment Group (NYSE: FIG) has some investment advice for parents, "Short every fixed-income instrument on the planet, or at least the developed world." His comments came during an interview today with Erik Schatzker and Stephanie Ruhle of Bloomberg television.
"It is the Rip Van Winkle trade. Sell all your bonds, buy a lot of stocks, go to sleep," joked Schatzker. "We have central banks here and around the world that will try to inflate their way out of this debt mess, and they will. There is only one way out, and it is inflation."
Short 20+ Year Treasury Profile (NYSE: TBF) is one of the most liquid inverse bond funds, and tracks U.S. treasures.
