Pacific Ethanol (Nasdaq: PEIX) is higher Monday as chilly weather is driving ethanol prices higher.
Market data has ethanol for March delivery up 2.2 percent to $2.116 per gallon on the CBOT, which is the strongest intraday price seen since early December. Ethanol's discount to gasoline also fell 3.46 cents to $0.7287.
Pacific Ethanol is about 6.3 percent better.
