Norfolk Southern (NSC) Hits Daily Low Following Early Q4 Release

Norfolk Southern (NYSE: NSC) shares are dropped following an early release of their fourth quarter 2010 earnings today. The stock dropped nearly 2% following an early release caught on Bloomberg, and are now trading 1.7% lower. Volume has spiked as well.


NSC reported Q4 EPS of $1.00, ex-benefit, $0.05 worse than the analyst estimate of $1.05. Revenue for the quarter came in at $2.39 billion versus the consensus estimate of $2.43 billion.

EPS including the mentioned benefit were $1.09.
