Nokia (NOK) Losing Ground in Emerging Markets?

Nokia Corp.'s (NYSE: NOK) share of the mobile phone handset market in India slipped to 36.3 percent in the second quarter from 54 percent in the same period of 2009, according to a recent report form IDC.
Nokia refuted this fact, saying that the report did not include shipments from the company's Chennai factory.
India represents the second most important emerging market for Nokia after China.
A report recently showed that Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) is talking with telecom companies in India about a future launch of the iPhone in the world's second largest nation by population.
If the iPhone enter the India mobile market, it could further push down Nokia's market share in the country.
