Nokia (NOK) Developing Computational Imaging Camera for Future Lumia

Nokia (NYSE: NOK) is indicated lower Tuesday morning amid chatter the company might be working on next-generation camera technology with an upcoming version of its Lumia smartphones.
BoyGeniusReport (BGR) interviewed Nokia smartphone head Jo Harlow, who said that the company is producing its own version of computational imaging. Harlow noted that the technology allows you "to capture even more data — data you cannot even see with the human eye that you can only see by actually going back to the picture and being able to do things with them."
The latest device to use similar technology is the Lytro camera line.
Previous barriers to Nokia being able to implement the technology has been procession power of smartphones.
Timing on when the technology will be used wasn't speculated.
Shares are down 0.6 percent early.
