Nokia (NOK) Cedes Home Turf Dominance to Samsung in Q1

Nokia (NYSE: NOK) is higher in early trading amid reports its not even having a good time in its home country.
According to the WSJ, citing data from IDC, Nokia is no longer the top mobile device company in Finland through Q113.
Topping Nokia was Samsung, which shipped 211,000 devices in Finland for the quarter, versus 196,000 devices shipped by Nokia. Samsung now has 36.1 percent of the Finnish market, versus 33.6 percent for Nokia. Nokia commanded 48 percent of the market last year, versus just 28 percent for Samsung.
Overall, Samsung saw a 15 percent drop in global Q1 sales, while Nokia's sales in the same period fell 36 percent.
Into the open Nokia is up about 0.3 percent.
