The following might be the only thing better than owning an Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) iPhone:
Nissan (OTCBB: NSANY) is releasing a case for the iPhone line that is self healing! That's right, should a scratch get on the case, Nissan's Scratch Shield paint will mend itself within an hour to a week depending on the damage.
Those who drive a Nissan or Infiniti automobile may be familiar with the technology, which is already employed on several models globally.
The technology is now being tested in Europe; if tests go well, Nissan might release the product before the end of 2012.
From the release: "The outer ‘paint’ is made from polyrotaxane, which means that when damage occurs to the coating in the form of a fine scratch, the chemical structure is able to react to change back to its original shape and fill the gap – ‘healing’ the blemish."
