Netflix (Nasdaq: NFLX) is not planning to create an app for BlackBerry (Nasdaq: BBRY), according to reports in All Things D on Monday. Sources cited by the blog say the company doesn't see benefits from created a BlackBerry 10 app, which some see as a blow to Blackberry and its flagship new operating system.
BlackBerry has hyped the new technology as competitive with iOS and Android, but if companies like Netflix are unwilling to embrace the operating system, it could be a bad sign. Blackberry is hoping Netflix will reconsider.
