Dear adorable little old lady from those famous Wendy's commercials of the 80s, Netflix (Nasdaq: NFLX) has the beef, and its going straight to Latin America.
According to a release issued earlier, Netflix is bringing "The Hunger Games" to Latin America following a new multi-year deal with Argentinian film distributor Telefilms.
Being criticized for its sparse catalogue upon launch in LatAm, Netflix is making great strides with the new deal. The company said titles will be available on its streaming service as soon as four months following theatrical release.
Other titles included in the Telefilms agreement include: “The King’s Speech," “Midnight in Paris,” “Biutiful” and “The Fifth Element."
Netflix also noted it attained the one million subscriber milestone in LatAm, with subs enjoying over 100 million hours of "Hollywood, local and international movies and TV shows from Netflix."
Shares of Netflix are up 0.6 percent in early trading Tuesday.
