Netflix (NFLX) 'House of Cards' Coming to DVD on June 11th

Not only is Netflix's (NASDAQ: NFLX) new original series 'House of Cards' getting strong reviews and driving digital subscribers, but now producers are seeking to bank on a DVD release.
According to a posting at Amazon.com, first seen by the Verge, 'House of Cards' will be coming to Blu Ray and DVD on June 11, 2012.
The price is $44.99, or a 20% discount to the list price of $55.99. Pre-orders are available now.
Sony Pictures Entertainment is releasing the DVD. It is unclear if Netflix is involved or will profit from the DVD release.

After rising 104.4 percent in the first quarter of 2013, and leading the S&P 500, shares of Netflix have been seeing profit taking since the start of the second quarter. After dropping on 3.6 percent Monday, share are down another 1.1 percent today.
