Shares of Netflix (Nasdaq: NFLX) are seeing significant pressure this morning amid news that Amazon.com launched new streaming video content for Amazon Prime members.
Amazon is giving Prime Members unlimited, commercial-free, instant streaming of more than 5,000 movies and TV shows. Amazon.com said its Prime membership will continue to be $79 per year.
Although Amazon.com's moves to increase its streaming offerings were known, Neftlix is down 5 percent in early trade.
