NYSE (ICE) Member Firms Post 33.5% Gain in Post-Tax Q4 Profit

New York Stock Exchange -- of IntercontinentalExchange Group (NYSE: ICE) -- member firms that conduct business with the public reported a fourth-quarter 2014 after-tax profit of approximately $2.8 billion and revenues of approximately $39 billion, compared with a $1.9 billion after-tax profit on revenues of about $38.5 billion in the third-quarter of 2014.

Revenues are predominantly derived from investment banking, trading, commissions, and interest.
Since the NYSE member firm community is composed of corporations and partnerships, after-tax earnings are presented on a pro-forma basis that assumes a corporate tax rate of 35 percent.
