Mozilla's Firefox Browser Comes to iOS (AAPL)

Mozilla's Firefox browser is now available for iOS devices worldwide.

Mozilla initially previewed the Firefox browser for iOS in New Zealand starting last September.

Due to Apple's app rules, Firefox wil run Apple's WebKit rendering engine versus its in-house Gecko engine. Other browsers powered by WebKit include Safari and Google Chrome.

Shares of Apple are modestly lower in early trading Thursday.
