Move Over Netflix (NFLX): Warner Bros. to Offer Movies Through Facebook

Amid Netflix's (Nasdaq: NFLX) recent struggle with a number of movie distributors, Warner Bros. announced Monday that it will be making five new, high-profile movie titles available for rental and streaming via Facebook.
Warner Bros. noted that it will "expand its test offering of movies for rental through Warner Bros. Entertainment's Facebook Movie Pages." "The Dark Knight" was the first title to be offered on the website and will be followed by "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone," "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets," "Inception," "Life as We Know It," and "Yogi Bear." All movies were available as of 10pm PT on March 27.
Renting a movie runs a Facebook member ~40 Facebook Credits each, which is roughly $4. A rental lasts for 48 hours and allows the customer to view the movie as much as they would like to. Rentals are available from the movies' official Facebook Pages.
