Motorola (MOT) At New 52-Week Low

November 20, 2007 2:35 PM EST
Motorola Inc. (NYSE: MOT) hit a new 52-week low today on fears of an economic slowdown. News that LM Ericsson lowered their fourth quarter guidance contributed to the downside move.

Activist investors, Carl Icahn, recently raised his stake in the company to 2.7%, or 60.5 million shares. In the past, Icahn was unsuccessful in his attempt to get a board seat and oust CEO Ed Zander.

It is expected that Icahn could turn up the heat on Motorola.
