Mosaic (MOS) CEO Understands Takeover Interest In The Company

According to reports from Reuters, while Mosaic Co. (NYSE: MOS) CEO James Prokopanko wouldn't say if his company was for sale, he could understand the interest in the company.
Mosaic has been the subject of much takeover speculation recently, with articles surfacing suggesting Vale (Nasdaq: VALE) or BHP Billiton (NYSE: BHP) could buy the company.
In the interview, Mosaic said his company was a "very compelling investment" and he "could understand interest" in the company.
Mosaic is majority owned by the privately held conglomerate Cargill.
Prokopanko also said he sees a steady increase in demand for key fertilizers over the next five years.
