More Updates From Apple's (AAPL) Macworld Event

Apple's (Nasdaq: AAPL) presentation at the Macworld event is not being given by Steve Jobs as it has been for the last 10 years, but by Phil Schiller today. Apple is announcing various updates to existing products and launching new ones as well.

Thus far, Apple has announced new versions iMove, iWork, Numbers, iPhoto, Pages and iLife. Some of these products look very exciting and me being a PC user almost wants to go out and buy a Mac right now. For example, in the new iMovie, for all those videographers with shaky hands, Apple decided to add video stabilization in the edit process. Genius.

Also, with a single click, iMovie creates themes, effects. Apple iMovie now has animated travel maps showing 2D and 3D travel maps showing exactly where one has traveled.

"iLife continues to be one of the biggest reasons our customers choose to get a Mac," said Steve Jobs, Apple's CEO. "With iLife '09, we've made working with photos, making movies and learning to play music a lot more fun, and iMovie users are especially going to love the advanced but easy-to-use new features."

On another note, Apple blog and rumor site are being so bombarded today that the popular MacRumors site crashed when the Macworld event started today.
