Though it seems like a logical next move, details for Microsoft's (Nasdaq: MSFT) Surface Mini have been scare.
Nicrosoft-News reported today that the smaller Surface slate might include an 8-inch 1080p display, Intel (Nasdaq: INTC) Bay Trail chip, and full Windows 8.1 operating system. An ARM Holdings (Nasdaq: ARHM)-based Surface Mini might also be in the works.
Along with standard features, the tiny tablet might also include Kinect-like sensor technology for detecting users' faces and hand gestures.
Previous reports had the diminutive device with a 7.5-inch 720p display and Qualcom (Nasdaq: QCOM) Snapdragon processor.
More details about the next-gen Surface should emerge in Q114. Shares of Microsoft are down 0.6 percent Tuesday
