Monster Worldwide, Inc. (NYSE: MWW) appears to be taking the social media threat to its business seriously.
On Wednesday, some Monster.com customers were sent a survey asking for their thoughts on social media and recruiting.
"We have teamed up with Human 1.0, a social strategy consultancy, and the non-profit Society for New Communication Research on this research into organizational use of social media, current hiring practices and company brands," the company said in an e-mail to customers. The company asked clients to take a 10-15 minute survey.
Social media companies like LinkedIn (Nasdaq: LNKD), Twitter and Facebook have been having a detrimental effect on Monster.com's business. Now the company is looking to combat this trend. Is it too late?
