Microsoft's Bill Gates Joins Twitter

Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) founder Bill Gates made his way onto Twitter about 19 hours ago, and already the world's richest man has 191,240 followers. You can follow his tweets here @billgates.

Gates is following 40 people including @ashleytisdale, @RyanSeacrest, @aplust (Asthon Kutcher), @TechCrunch, @huffingtonpost, @nytimes among the other chosen few.

Gates said he will share cool things he's learning through his foundation work and other interests.

Gates enlightened the world that he is hard at work on his foundation's letter, which will be published on 1/25. Gates also thanked Ryan Seacrest for this work on Haiti and Asthon Kutcher for welcoming him on twitter. Gates said he as a "lot to learn about Twitter.
