Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) shares are up on the session as it released more information on an update to its Windows 8 platform.
Microsoft's Tami Reller said today that the name of "Windows Blue" would be called Windows 8.1. The company will be making a public preview of Windows 8.1 available starting on June 26, timed with the Build developer conference in San Francisco. Both Windows 8 and Windows RT previews will be available.
Chatter surrounding the latest windows platform has been hot lately, given the recent problems many users have complained about with the current system.
