Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) shares are ticking slightly higher Friday amid new data that the company surpassed the 20,000 level for Windows 8 apps.
According to information out yesterday, the Win 8 store was at about 20,610 apps globally. Further, about 17,958 of those apps, or approximately 87 percent, were free.
