Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) has appointed Jeff Teper as head of corporate strategy.
Bloomberg noted that Teper was promoted last month and was former vice president in Office Service and Servers Group. The executive worked closely in getting Microsoft Office into the cloud. Prior to that, Teper led development of SharePoint.
With Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella moving to a cloud first, mobile first mantra, it seems Teper was a solid selection for the role. Teper will work in such areas as acquisitions and development.
Microsoft shares are lower in early trading Tuesday.
