Microsoft (MSFT) Moves Higher Following RIM (RIMM) CEO Change

January 23, 2012 9:59 AM EST
Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) is continuing higher Monday, hitting a new mark of $29.93 shortly after the open.

Investors might be piling in following the management change at Research In Motion (Nasdaq: RIMM) which saw the company tap former COO Thorsten Heins. RIM shares are off about 7 percent on the move.

Heins said he expects BlackBerry 10 to remain a top-three mobile OS, but also signaled there didn't need to be a major change at the company during the company's conference call this morning.

Microsoft is up 0.6 percent as investors remain cautious.
