Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) has launched a government-approved version of Windows 10 in China.
The Next Web noted Monday that the announcement was made by Ralph Haupter, Microsoft’s CEO for the Greater China region.
Microsoft partnered with state-run tech and defense company CETC on the latest version of Windows 10. The product will be officially named Zhuangongban.
Some apps on the Chinese-version of Windows 10 will be different, and the platform will also include additional device management and security controls.
Shares of Microsoft are indicated higher Monday morning.
