Microsoft (MSFT) Internet Explorer User Exodus Continues in December (GOOG)

While Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) is aiming to get more users on its Windows 8.X platform, those users still appear resistant to adopting Internet Explorer.
The latest from StatCounter.com has global use of Microsoft's Internet Explorer down to 23.24 percent in December, from 27.31 percent the prior month and a 30.78 percent share for December 2012.
Google (Nasdaq: GOOG) Chrome saw a second-month of share gain, moving from 41.87 percent in November to 43.92 percent in December. The number compares with 36.42 percent share in the same period last year.
Mozilla Firefox also saw a slight uptick, to 18.95 percent last month from 18.15 percent in November. Firefox had 21.89 percent share in the same period last year.
