Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) was granted a patent which would allow for a touch-sensitive bezel. The patent, filed in 2012, would be able to identify whether a user touches the bezel of a device (say, the Surface tablet, for example) to use, or whether it was simply an accidental touch.
While 11 applications are contained in the patent, one of the more interesting would be for the bezel to display objects, which might be used as some sort of menu or other feature on a future mobile device.
