Microsoft (MSFT) Gets Another Popular App Onto Windows Phone 8

Microsoft's (Nasdaq: MSFT) Windows Phone 8 just got a little "cooler."

Reports out Monday have WP8 getting a new app from Hulu, bolstering Microsoft's efforts to have an app portfolio with more notable names. The move comes following the addition of Pandora earlier this year.

TheVerge said that he app is equally as impressive as Pandora's, with fluid scrolling, quick load times, and solid HD video. The site was testing the app out on Nokia's (NYSE: NOK) Lumia 920 handset.

Unlike Pandora's WP9 app, Hulu users will suffer through pre-roll ads. Pandora has no ads on WP8.

Shares of Microsoft are slightly lower Monday.
