Microsoft (MSFT) Attains New OS Milestone in October

According to new data from StatCounter Tuesday, Microsoft's (Nasdaq: MSFT) Windows 7 surpassed its Windows XP as most-installed OS on PC's.
Windows XP dropped from a market share of 40.59 percent in September to 38.45 percent in October. Conversely, Windows 7 moved from a 39.04 percent share to 40.50 percent share.
Other systems like Apple's (Nasdaq: AAPL) iOS and Linux were flat from September to October.
