Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) has finally complied with Google's (Nasdaq: GOOG) wishes.
According to reports Thursday, Microsoft has altered its YouTube app to now include ad content. The move comes one week following Google sending a cease-and-desist order to Microsoft over the app, saying that it didn't comply with the YouTube API.
TheVerge recently commented that Microsoft may have built the app without Google's consent, including features which would prevent ads from playing. Google also didn't like the feature that allowed for videos to be downloaded.
Shares of Microsoft are lower at the start.
