Hitwise data showed that Microsoft's (Nasdaq: MSFT) Bing U.S. search engine share increased 7% in October to 9.57%, up from 8.96% in September. Google (Nasdaq: GOOG) search share fell 1% to 70.60% in October. Yahoo! (Nasdaq: YHOO) fell 1% to 16.14%. Ask.com gained 2% to 2.62% share.
The remaining 52 search engines in the Hitwise Search Engine Analysis Tool accounted for 1.10 percent of U.S. searches.
