Mead Johnson (MJN) Rallies as China Eases One-Child Policy

Infant formula maker Mead Johnson Nutrition Co. (NYSE: MJN) is on watch Friday after China loosened their one child per family policy.

China Xinhua reported the country will "Launch implementation of a policy that when the husband or wife is a single child, the couple may have two children." It will also, "steadily adjust and improve family planning policies."

China is a large market for Mead Johnson, with Asia/Latin America sales accounting for 70% of net sales and a large portion of profits.

In addition to easing the one-child policy, the world's most populous country is abolishing re-education through labor camp.

Shares of Mead Johnson are up 2.6% early.
