McDonald's (MCD) to Cut Prices by One-Third in China

According to a Dow Jones article, McDonald's (NYSE: MCD) is planning to cut menu prices in China by nearly one-third in response to an economic slowdown which has now certainly spread to all corners of the globe. Additionally, McDonald's will offer its Chinese consumers an "Everyday Super Value Meal" which prices certain combo meals at as low as 16.5 yuan, or $2.41, and individual items at 5 yuan, or about $0.88.

Overall, McDonald's has said that these new prices could save customers up to 32.6% compared to the fast-food giant's previous prices.

The article also mentions that McDonald's may offer loyalty cards which will take off up to 20% from certain meals
