On Friday's episode of Mad Money, Cramer highlighted MasTec (NYSE: MTZ) as one of his top picks for his favorite form of alternative energy: wind power. According to Cramer, MasTec is a speculative play that "investors need to own."
Cramer noted that while MasTec is not a pure-play wind power company, this segment of its business is quickly building momentum. Jim believes that the market is only pricing in MasTec's infrastructure business currently, but should be looking ahead to what its wind power branch could become. With only about 17% of MasTec's revenues coming from its wind power division, Cramer sees this area doubling from current levels.
Cramer called MasTec stock a Buy at under $11 and said "at just above $10 a share, MasTec is just too cheap."
MasTec, Inc. operates as a specialty contractor in the United States. Its operations include building, installation, maintenance, and upgrade of communications and utility infrastructure.
