Altria Group (NYSE: MO) and Philip Morris International (NYSE: PM) traders are chatting today about the death of the former Marlboro man from smoking-related issues.
Eric Lawson, who portrayed the Marlboro man in ads during the late 1970s, died on January 10th at age 72 at his home in San Luis Obispo, California, according to reports from the AP.
Lawson died of respiratory failure due to chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, or COPD, his wife said.
