On Wednesday, the LeBron James watch on Wall Street had the most coveted NBA free agent headed to the New York Knicks, as shares of Madison Square Garden Inc. (NYSE: MSG) were up 6.5 percent, but the stock pulled back in early trade Thursday morning.
In early market movement and mere hours before James is scheduled to make a decision on where he will play for the next several years, shares of MSG have dipped 4.68 percent to $20.55.
Sports networks speculated that James must be headed to the Knicks as Wall Street generally knows first, but now the speculation on where he will sign has continued to become murky.
James, who has played his entire seven-year professional career with the Cleveland Cavaliers, could potentially re-sign with the Cavs, or leave for the Knicks, Miami Heat or New Jersey Nets. Other outside possibilities include signing with the Chicago Bulls or Los Angeles Clippers.
James is set to make his decision Thursday night at 9 p.m. during an hour-long special on ESPN.
