Shares of Las Vegas Sands (NYSE: LVS) have sold off mid-day following news out of the company that its President and COO, William Weidner, has left the company. Michael Leven, a member of Las Vegas Sands' Board since 2004, has been named as Weidner's replacement.
The stock has been extremely volatile today: it gapped lower to begin today's session, rebounding to as high as up 10%, and, following the management news, sold off and is now down more than 19% to $1.42.
