JinkoSolar's (JKS) Strong Q3 Drives China Solar Higher (LDK) (JASO) (TSL)

Solar shares are popping higher today following a strong quarterly report from a leading name in the segment.

Ahead of trading Monday, JinkoSolar (NYSE: JKS) posted Q3 adjusted profit of $1.44 per ADS on revenue of $330.7 million, while consensus views were looking for earnings of $0.45 per ADS with revs of $302.2 million. Looking ahead, the company raised FY13 solar module shipments from 1.5- to 1.7-GW up to a of 1.7- to 1.8-GW. Total operational solar PV projects are expected to be in the range of 210MW to 230MW.

While JinkoSolar is up today, others are on the rise as well, including: LDK Solar (NYSE: LDK), JA Solar (Nasdaq: JASO), Trina Solar (NYSE: TSL), and ReneSola (NYSE: SOL).
