JCPenney (NYSE: JCP) -- er, jcpenney -- could have possibly the best promotions that we've seen in a while.
According to a release earlier today, jcpenney will be offering free family photos through November. The latest deal is to promote the retailer's new jcp portraits studios, which they claim are located in 530 jcpenney stores.
The new promotion comes as jcpenney is making a strong push to get families through the door and shopping for more goods.
Last July, jcpenney announced free haircuts for kids heading into the back-to-school shopping season. That promotion was geared toward the introduction of its Shops segment.
No word on what sort of costs are associated with the efforts, though investors might expect that those would fall in-line with typical marketing expenses.
Shares of jcpenney are down about 4 percent on Tuesday's session.
