Shares of Intuit (Nasdaq: INTU) are falling 3.5% in after-hours action Thursday after reporting slightly better-than-expected fourth quarter results, but giving guidance for the first quarter of 2010 that was less optimistic than Wall Street had expected.
Intuit reported Q4 EPS of loss of $0.10, 2 cents better than the analyst estimate of a $0.12 loss. Revenue for the quarter was $476 million, versus the consensus of $469.88 million. Intuit sees a Q1 loss of $0.15-$0.19, versus the consensus of a $0.08 loss, on revenues of $479-$493 million, versus the consensus of $488.5 million. Intuit sees FY10 EPS $1.89-$1.96, versus consensus of $2.00, on revenues of $3.3 billion to $3.43 billion, versus the consensus of $3.35 billion.
