Icahn NOT Buying Twitter (TWTR) Shares - FBN

December 16, 2013 1:26 PM EST
Despite recent rumors of his involvement, Fox Business Network's Charles Gasparino reports that Carl Icahn is not an investor in Twitter (NYSE: TWTR).

Also, according to Gasparino, Icahn views shares of Twitter as too expensive at these levels.

"We should point out that Carl Icahn has no comment officially, but we know this from people close to Mr. Icahn that he is not an investor in shares of Twitter," Gasparino said. "He likes the company, he uses obviously the service, and he uses it very well… from what we understand, people close to the matter tell the FOX Business Network that Carl Icahn is not in the stock, the bottom line is that while he likes a lot about Twitter he thinks it's too expensive."

Shares of Twitter are down 3.9% today after two notable downgrades: Wells Fargo cut shares to Underperform and SunTrust cut share to Neutral.
