ITC Receives Apple's (AAPL) Second Trade Complaint Against HTC

Apple Inc. (Nasdaq: AAPL) filed a patent-infringement complaint with the U.S. International Trade Commission against HTC Corp. late last week, the second within the last 16 months. This complaint, likely the last complaint, is requesting the halt of imports of personal electronic devices from HTC.
A judge is scheduled to overlook and release a decision on the case on August 5.
HTC also has its own complaint filed with the International Trade Commission, expected to be released on September 16. The company recently purchased S3 Graphics for $300 million following an ITC settlement against Apple.
The first complaint against HTC reflected the Matter of Certain Personal Data, Mobile Communications Devices, and Related Software, while the new one contains Matter of Portable Electronic Devices and Related Software. HTC’s complaint against Apple is In the Matter of Portable Electronic Devices.
Shares of Apple are currently trading down $5.88, or 1.63 percent, to $353.83
