Huntington Bancshares (HBAN) Becomes a "Must Own" Regional Bank

Huntington Bancshares Inc. (Nasdaq: HBAN) has become the new "must own" regional bank with the likes of Jim Cramer and Wall Street analysts pounding the table on the company.
Last week, Huntington Bancshares announced it has replayed its $1.4 billion in TARP, further propelling the story.
Shares of Huntington Bancshares are now up 89 percent year-to-date, but analysts still see more upside.
Miller Tabak recently upgraded Huntington from Hold to Buy and raised its increased to $7.59. The firm said the company is an attractive takeover candidate and they expect 2011-2012 to be a period of very active bank-industry consolidation. The firm expects investors to give HBAN a premium valuation versus peers.
