HTC and Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) have been locked in patent battles, with each side taking a win over the last few months.
And HTC is willing to negotiate a settlement. According to Bloomberg, HTC's CFO, Winston Yung, said the company is "open to having discussions."
But terms of a deal must be "fair and reasonable."
Late in June, HTC won an International Trade Commission (ITC) ruling covering two patents, while Apple saw a victory for two patents just a few weeks later.
No discussions have taken place between the two companies as of yet.
Apple is trading modestly higher Tuesday morning.
