Guy Adami Proved Wrong On Freeport-McMoRan (FCX)

January 23, 2008 9:36 AM EST
We noted several times how bullish Guy Adami from Fast Money and Jim Cramer from Mad Money were on Freeport-McMoran (NYSE: FCX). We disagreed with the calls, especially when Mr. Adami at $95 said Freeport-McMoran deserved to be at $115. It is slightly surprising that Guy Adami got this so wrong being that he was the head gold trader at venerable Goldman Sachs in 1996.

None of us here are professional gold traders, but we pick up the phone and make the calls. We called metal dealers and they informed us of what was happening in the market. Hey, Guy Adami may be right in the long-run, but then again, we are all dead in the long-run.
