Groupon (Nasdaq: GRPN) volatility is elevated as shares have done nothing much besides move lower on Wednesday's session. The move comes following lack of sentiment in the social media realm following Facebook's (Nasdaq: FB) IPO on May 18th.
Volatility is up 13 percent on the session from Tuesday's close.
Groupon stock is down 6.6 percent as well, though the shares may be nearing a bottom.
Of note, shares have been hanging below the 50-day SMA since mid-February, after reporting a surprise fourth-quarter 2011 loss.
